[Mcls-print-storage] Update on PAN Forum, June 2024

Greetings! I attended the Print Archive Network (PAN) Forum at ALA in San Diego this year. There were several presentations and lots of good information shared. The room was packed! The agenda from the meeting as well as links to follow-up materials is available on the PAN Website<https://live-crl-www.pantheonsite.io/events/pan-annual-2024>.

A few items to highlight:

  *   The Partnership for Shared Book Collections and the Rosemont Shared Print Alliance (journals) have merged. The year ahead is a "bridge year" as the two organizations, now one, work through the details of this change. The PowerPoint, titled "Merger", on the PAN Website provides more detail.
  *   OCLC is conducting research related to shared print, "Stewarding the Collective Collection." This project seeks information about currently used shared print workflows and the data and tools used to support these workflows. Interviews and focus groups have been completed and the project is now soliciting input via a survey. For anyone interested, here is the survey link<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/X22WQ7D>.
