<p class="MsoNormal">On <b>Tuesday, April 16</b>, the Michigan library community will gather at the Capitol in Lansing to meet with legislators and advocate for all Michigan Libraries! Library supporters from all over Michigan will be meeting with their legislators
to build relationships while they advocate for library funding and support, and educate lawmakers about library issues.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Registration is only $25 and includes an Advocacy Day t-shirt, a boxed lunch, and a custom agenda. MLA will schedule a meeting between you and your legislator(s) or legislative staff.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">You do not need to be a member of MLA to register to attend Advocacy Day, but you do need to be prepared to meet one-on-one or in a small group with your legislator or their staff. This is the most important part of Advocacy Day. But you
don't need prior experience to participate! <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Training for all advocates will be held via Zoom on Monday, April 1 from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. When you register for Advocacy Day, you will automatically be registered for the virtual advocacy training session.
