
<html><head></head><body><div class="ydpd37b2b00yahoo-style-wrap" style="font-family:Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:16px;"><div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">The Hartford Public Library is sponsoring an "Local Author Showcase" on Wednesday, September 21st from 5pm to 6:30pm. Meet your local authors and learn about the books they wrote. Local authors are invited to bring their books to autograph and sell. So far the following authors are available: Laura Kemp, Sandra Bedka, Jade Heffington, Kim Stafford and Guy Martin. Light refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to everyone.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">If you are a creative student in grades 5th through 12th and attend Hartford schools, you can enter the Hartford Public Library 2022 Teen Creative Writing Contest. There are four categories: comic art, flash fiction, poetry and artwork(cover art). There are two groups: 5th grade to 8th grade and 9th grade to 12th grade. Each group will be eligible to win one of three awards in each category. First prize is $100, second is $75 and third is $50. All entries are due by October1, 2022 to the library. They can be emailed to hartfordlib@yahoo.com or delivered to the library.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Stephanie Daniels, Director<br></div><div class="ydpd37b2b00signature"><div style="font-family:Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:16px;"><div dir="ltr"><font face="bookman old style, new york, times, serif"><font color="#4c76a2">Vanderlyn Community Center & Hartford Public Library</font><br>12 Church Street<span class="ydp850d63e1tab"> </span></font></div>
