<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Remember that libraries can still move forward with phased in re-openings. There are many considerations library administrators will need to think about as libraries reopen and
 having permission through the rescission of the EO’s that closed your space to the public does not mean that libraries have to discard plans that include phased in opening plans such as material return only or curbside service for a period of time. Libraries
 are still required to undertake a good deal of planning, provide a COVID Response plan, and much more as the retail sector is required.  If phasing in services is the path a library would like to use to bring their operations back up to full speed in order
 to ensure the facility and staff are prepared and the best safety practices are in place before moving to a public re-opening as currently allowed then that may be the best route for your organization. We encourage library boards and administrations to consider
 and review the full Executive Orders and all the requirements within as they safely plan ahead.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Also, the Governor’s workgroup for the Entertainment and Arts & Culture sector was created and is currently meeting this week. There are representatives from the Michigan library
 community on this committee along with member of the Michigan museum community. We expect this workgroup will be providing information after June 5 to assist libraries as they move forward with planning to again provide services in their local communities.

<p><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Executive Order 2020-110 will make many libraries happy. Section 10 of the Executive Order states: "Unless otherwise prohibited by local regulation, libraries and museums may open as of June 8, 2020, subject to
 the rules governing retail stores described in Executive Order 2020-97 or any order that may follow from it."<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This new Executive Order, delivered on June 1, 2020 also moves the state to Stage 4 of the Michigan Safe Start Plan. As a result, Michiganders are no longer required to stay home. Instead, certain businesses will
 remain closed and specific activities that present a heightened risk of infection will remain prohibited. Any work that is capable of being performed remotely must be performed remotely.
