Public Library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Michigan Humanities is one of 56 state (and territories) humanities councils in the country, founded in 1974 as a result of federal legislation. MH invests in the people of Michigan by creating
and sustaining humanities programs that provide us with a deeper understanding of the past, the tools for stronger analysis of the present, and a more informed vision for the future. Grant opportunities that will be discussed during the workshop include Humanities
Grants, Action Grants, and Arts and Humanities Touring Grants (a partnership with the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs). Programs by Michigan Humanities that will be explored include: Great Michigan Read, Museums on Main Street, and Poetry
Out Loud. MH <span style="color:#1F497D">S</span>taff will also introduce the new online grants and programs portal to help organizations create their online profile. The workshop will be interactive, so bring your laptop and ideas! There is no fee to attend,
