<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi all,</div><div><br></div><div>Here is a summary of the responses I received last week, when I asked Michlib-l what sort of orientation programs or packets libraries are offering to new card holders. Two libraries responded:<br></div><div><br></div><div><b>Troy Public Library<br></b>
<span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:rgb(31,73,125)">When patrons register for a new <span class="gmail-il">library</span>
card we give them a welcome packet. Included in the welcome packet
are a welcome letter from Cathy, information about the Friends of TPL
(which includes a coupon to the used book store), a flyer that our
marketing team put together about e-resources available at the <span class="gmail-il">library</span>,
calendars for the coming month from our youth department,
teen department and adult services department, a TPL magnet with hours,
website and phone numbers, and an information card that lists loan
periods, fines and fees and instructions on how to log into their
account online.</span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:rgb(31,73,125)"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:rgb(31,73,125)"><font color="#000000"><b>Canton Public Library</b></font></span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:rgb(31,73,125)"><font color="#000000"><b>
