<p class="MsoNormal"><b style=""><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Mideastern Michigan Library Cooperative Names New Director</span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b style=""><span style="font-size:12.0pt"> </span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The Mideastern Michigan Library Cooperative (MMLC) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that they have chosen a new Director.<span style="">
</span>Eric W. Palmer will begin his new duties on October 1, 2019.<span style="">
</span>He replaces Denise Hooks, current MMLC Director, who is retiring after ten years in the position.
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Eric has a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and a Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University.<span style="">
</span>He comes to MMLC with significant experience in library and bookstore management.
<span style=""> </span>He began his career at B. Dalton and Barnes & Noble Booksellers.<span style="">
</span>In 2004, Eric was chosen as the Library Director at the Baker College Library, Flint.<span style="">
</span>He became the Head Librarian at Northwood University in 2015.<span style="">
</span>During his tenure at Baker College, Eric served on the MMLC Board from 2012-14 as the academic/special libraries representative.<span style="">
</span>While at Northwood, he has served as the Head of the Administrative Council for the Valley Library Consortium.<span style="">
</span>Eric has been highly effective in all of those roles and will be an asset to the members of MMLC.<span style="">
