We have one in our reading room and one in the children's room. I create a slide show for each, with programming information, new books, featured authors, author birthdays, trivia and so forth. I do the slides in a Publisher file, then save them as JPGs to a flash drive, which plugs into the TV and plays continuously. I think we bought them through Demco for about $1,500 each two years ago. The TV is in a front window facing the street and we have had a good response from the community. This also allows us to be able to run the same slide show on our catalog and patron computers.
