<p style="margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0">The German department, (back when it was still combined with the slavic department, I believe about 10 years ago) bought ~15 moving boxes worth of German language books from the Detroit Public Library when it was clearing
out some of it's foreign language collection. The content covers a range of subjects, fiction and non-fiction, (some are even just english and american pulp/romance fiction that has been translated into German,) but they have sat in a back office for about
the entirety of the time since their purchase, and I've been tasked with clearing them out. The German faculty has been contacted, (and contacted about it before me,) but by the end of next week, June 1st, the books have got to be moved somewhere.<br>

The bibliophile/archivist in me wants these to go to somewhere better than recycling, but that is the last option. A list of the titles and authors will be forth coming. PDFs of all the covers have been made. If any individual, institution, or library wants/has
an interest in taking these books, they are welcome to do so. I do not believe the Classical and Modern Languages department can get funding for them to be mailed somewhere, however, transport could potentially be arranged.<br>
