Board of the Cass District Library seeks a dynamic director to work with an
experienced staff of 23 and 8 supportive Trustees. <span> </span>This Class V Library serves approximately 38,000
residents with five facilities.<span> </span>The
director is responsible for administering the $1,000,000 budget, policy
development and implementation, collection management, library promotion,
strategic planning, public relations, and working with employees.<span> </span>The candidate must have an MLS from an ALA
accredited program and 4 years of public library experience—preferably
supervisory—and possess or be qualified to obtain a Level I Certificate from
the Library of Michigan. <span> </span>The preferred
candidate will have a team approach to management, genuine concern for customer
satisfaction, a pleasant demeanor, and a sense of humor.<span> </span>He or she must also be comfortable with
