43^rd annual Michigan Association for Media in Education (MAME43) is
being held in Grand Rapids this year. 
Our featured authors are </span><span style="font-family:"comic sans ms""> </span><b>Gijsbert <span style="font-family:"comic sans ms"">(N</span></b><span style="font-family:"comic sans ms""><b>ick) and Robbyn van Frankenhuyzen</b>, and MAME
is opening the author breakfast to teachers and public librarians.  Their breakfast talk and their follow-up

up on opposite ends of the world, but their parents had the same message for
them . . . "You have to pay the bills, you have to make a living. It might
as well be doing something you love to do.” They are doing just that - illustrating
books, writing and telling stories.  In the breakfast session they will
take you on their journey, through books, of living a life doing what they

create their books. This funny and informative talk is geared for folks who
want a little more “meat” to how their books are developed – from using real
models for Nick’s illustrations to using real stories from their own life on
the farm.</span><span></span></p>

author breakfast will be held, November 4, at 7:45 AM in the Pantlind Ballroom,
Amway Grand Plaza.  Cost is $60.00 and <span style="color:black">All attendees will receive a copy of one of their books,
either <i>Adopted By An Owl</i> or <i>I Love You Just Enough</i>.<span></span></span></p>
