Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Library and/or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program, a minimum of five years of public library administrative experience in a comparable library system, and experience in personnel supervision, strategic planning and budget preparation and management. Desired qualifications include a thorough knowledge and understanding of library administration; knowledge of legislative, legal and financial matters affecting district libraries; and a commitment to high professional, ethical and service standards.
