Staff reaches 10,000+ non-English speaking families with the Library’s early literacy services and programs. KCLS knows that staff is its greatest asset and the successful candidate will <b>be responsible</b> for (1) designing and implementing a staff development and training component; (2) providing a conduit of communication from staff to management and management to staff; (3) serving as the Library’s labor relations representative working with union negotiations, conflict resolution, and mediation; (4) developing, recommending and implementing human resource policies and programs in accordance with KCLS goals and objectives and in compliance with all laws and legal requirements; (5) managing recruitment and selection processes; (6) selecting, developing, motivating, evaluating, and directing the work of HR department staff; and (7) developing and administrating classification and competitive compensation programs.
