<div>The Public Library of Westland is proud to host its 3rd annual Skill Building Conference for Local Writers (SBCLW) on
<b>Saturday, May 9th from 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.</b> This <b>free </b>program is open to all area writers looking to improve their fiction, poetry, and non-fiction skills, as well as provide a forum to learn about the publishing industry. Presenters for this
conference include: </div>

<div>•<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Mike Ball, Erma Bombeck Award-winning author; </div>
<div>•<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Jennifer Burd, poet and author of creative non-fiction and children’s stories;</div>
<div>•<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Pamela Gossiaux, freelance journalist and author of 2 inspirational books; and,</div>
<div>•<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Thomas Saunders, owner/operator of Glendower Media, winner of the 2012 Indie Excellence Award.</div>
