The intern will go through training on early literacy skills. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Ability and willingness to interact in a friendly, positive manner with children and adults. Experience in working with children. Strong organizational skills. Ability and willingness to speak in front of groups of children and caregivers. Strong interpersonal communication skills. A genuine interest in children and their recreational and educational needs. Must be able to handle working in an environment that may be hectic and noisy. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Wage: $9.00/hr for 20 hrs/week based on programming schedule needs. May require some evenings and weekends. Starts May 11 through Aug 8. Undergraduate coursework in elementary education, child development, children’s literature, or recreation required.
