The event, sponsored by Blissfield Manufacturing Company begins at 9 am when event presenter, the Schultz-Holmes Memorial Library, begins assigning 5’ x 5’ street canvas squares and passing out chalk pastels to artists of all ages and abilities. The event will run until 4 pm on Saturday, with the first block of South Lane Street closed for the event from 5pm the night before. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=Default><span style='font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=Default><span style='font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>Vendors will line the sidewalks selling a variety of art and craft items, including greeting cards, hand-painted light bulbs, photography, re-purposed furniture, oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings, crocheted items, handmade scarves and jewelry, tote bags, and henna tattoos. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=Default><span style='font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=Default><span style='font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>Local businesses will offer special promotions and activities. Blissfield Coney Island will offer breakfast specials, Found Treasures, a clock raffle, and Blissful Living, a group of artists creating on-site. Businesses are slashing prices up and down Lane Street with dealers at the Blissfield Antique Mall offering discounts between 20% and 30%, Michigan Extreme Outdoors offering 15% discounts, both Royal Expressions and Squishy Tushy offering in-store specials, and Cakes ‘n Shakes offering a special Rainbow Sundae at 50 cents off the regular price all day. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=Default><span style='font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=Default><span style='font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>A couple of the special sundaes from Cakes ‘n Shakes also will be among the items offered in prize drawings throughout the day. All event goers can enter prize drawings at the red registration tent in front of the downtown mini-park, but winners must be present to claim prizes.
