In her 33 years of service at the Library, Mimi served as an Adult Services Librarian, Branch Manager, Interim Director, and Head of Acquisitions. She also managed YDL’s Michigan/Ypsilanti Heritage Room. Mimi helped usher the library from the card catalog to the internet era. She was present for the arrival of three new bookmobiles, the opening of four new library locations, and the introduction of public internet computers. Her dedicated cataloging work made library resources searchable for our community.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p style='background:white'><span lang=EN style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:windowtext'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p style='background:white'><span lang=EN style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:windowtext'>The library was an important place in Mimi’s life and she considered it in many ways a second home. As Head of Acquisitions, she made connections with staff at libraries throughout Michigan. Her professional demeanor and unflappable attitude made her known far and wide.
